automatic riveting systems are widely used in the aircraft assembly of the foreign aerospace industries. Chinese aerospace companies have purchased automatic riveting equipment
but there are several problems need to be solved
such as the parameter optimization and controlling of the small variation in the process of automatic riveting. Based on the process flow of the automatic riveting
the analysismethods of stress and strain in rivet and sheet metals are summarized respectively. Key problems for interference-fitriveting of composite material are also represented.
