Study on Numerical Simulation of Resin Flow of Advanced Composite Materials Manufactured by Vacuum Assisted RTM Process
复合材料液体成型技术是一种低成本、高效率的复合材料制造工艺。基于理查德方程和一种轮廓函数建立了一种预报 VARTM(Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding)工艺充模过程中不饱和流动情况下的树脂流动前沿特性和压强场的方法。采用 COMSOL Multiphysics 软件进行有限元数值模拟,提出浸润比参数 λ,将不同时刻的数值模拟结果与试验结果进行量化对比,良好的对比结果证明了该方法的可靠性。
Abstract
Liquid composites molding is a low cost and high efficiency process of composites manufacturing.The presented work is based on Richard’s equation and a contour function to predict the pressure field and resinflow front tracking at transient situation of VARTM (vacuum assisted resin transfer molding) process. Finite element method (FEM) is applied to carry out the numerical simulation realized by COMSOL Multiphysics software. A parameter named infusion ratio λ to compare the results of numerical simulation and the experiment. Good matching of the results is achieved to prove the credibility of this method.
