Abrasive wear process and machanism of Ti alloy belt grinding are discussed. The initial wear stage and the stationary wear stage of the belt wear process are verified. Furthermore
the influence of cutting depth and feed rate on wear are analyzed. The results show that the contour of belt surface is the crucial factor to extend the belt life and improve the machining precision stability.
