An experimental investigation is carried out to deal with the permeability of preform with resin by applying the unidirectional saturated flow method. Several factors which affect the permeability are studied
including the rate of resin in preform
the ply stacking sequence
the injection pressure and the temperature. The results indicate that the rate of resin in preform influence the permeabiliy
and the laws for different ply stacking sequence are not the same. For glass fabric of (0
90)
the permeability increases first
then decreases
and finally increases as the increasing of resin. The injection pressure and the temperature do not have remarkable effect on the permeability.
