The development of digital design and manufacturing for composites component is analyzed. The research status of process planning system based on 3D model is described. According to characteristics of forming process planning for composites component
construction technology of process planning system for composites component based on 3D model is discussed. The functions and the implement methods of the system are introduced. The forming process planning system for composites component based on 3D model is developed
and the functions of the system are verified by planning composites components process.
