Titanium alloy have excellent properties such as low density
high strength
and good oxidation resistance
which make them difficult to process. Abrasive belt grinding is an important method for precision machining of titanium alloy
which can obtain good machining accuracy and surface quality. A series of experimental studies were carried out on the surface roughness of TC17 titanium alloy under different process parameters
and the influence of feed speed
belt linear velocity and downward pressure on the surface roughness was explored. In order to predict surface features and other information more efficiently
corresponding software was developed. The experimental results show that the surface roughness first decreases and then increases as the belt linear velocity increases
and increases as the feed speed increases
while the downward pressure increases
the surface roughness value first decreases and then increases. The degree of fineness of the wear scar shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing or first decreasing and then increasing with the process parameters. The prediction results of the developed software with a prediction error of less than 10% accounted for 92.19%
