Through the dynamic modeling and simulation analysis of machining process

surface topography and machining process stability are predicted
and the process parameters are optimized on this basis
which is an effective way to realize chatter free and high-efficient cutting. Academia has conducted extensive and indepth research in this field. With the continuous development from digital manufacturing to intelligent one
the research hotspot of machining process simulation is changing to the intelligent direction represented by digital twins. Therefore
it is urgent to summarize the research status of machining process modeling and simulation deeply and systematically. On this basis
it is of great significance to predict the research hotspots and trends of machining process simulation. This paper summarizes the machining process modeling and cutting force prediction
cutting stability analysis
finite element simulation of cutting process and digital twin technology for cutting process
and points out the advantages and limitations of relevant research at present. After indepth discussion
this paper also prospects the research trend of machining process modeling and simulation
and points out the research hotspot in the near future.
