The slot is an important structural feature of aero-engine turbine disk. Turbine disk is connected with blades by slots. Therefore
the profile accuracy and surface quality of the slot directly affect the performance and reliability of turbine disk components. However
the materials of the turbine disk have excellent properties and extremely poor cutting performance. The electroplated CBN profiled grinding wheel is used to carry out precision grinding experiments on FGH96 turbine disk slots. The experimental results show that using 600# electroplated CBN profiled grinding wheel
under the conditions of parameters n=48000 r/min
ap =0.002 mm
vf =100 mm/min
can realize the precision grinding of FGH96 turbine slots. The profile dimensions and surface roughness of the machined slots meet the design requirements. At the same time
after grinding four turbine disk slots
the grinding wheel still has good grinding ability. The research results fully verify that the precision grinding of FGH96 turbine disk slots can be realized by electroplated CBN profiled grinding wheel
which provides a new technological method for precision machining of FGH96 turbine disk slots.
